Man killed by drunk driver near Patterson Street

HOUSTON – A man was killed after his car was struck by a drunk driver on Katy Freeway’s inbound feeder road near Patterson Street early Friday.

As per initial information, the police officers responded to the area for a speeding reckless driver. They located the vehicle moments after it ran a red light and crashed into a minivan.

The driver of the minivan was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, which ran the red light, was determined to be impaired.

He was booked and will be charged with intoxication manslaughter.
