Two dogs killed during apartment fire in north Harris County

HOUSTON – A family lost two dogs to an apartment fire in the 14300 block of Ella Boulevard Tuesday night.

It was unclear how or where exactly the fire started inside the apartment.

Little York Fire Department crews arrived at the location and were able to knock down the flames quickly.

Firefighters found the two dogs inside the burning unit. CPR was performed on the dogs and oxygen was also provided but rescuers were unable to revive them.

At least two people were evaluated by ESD 11 at the scene.

HCFMO is handling the investigation.
