Three robbery suspects detained after pursuit in west Houston
HOUSTON – Three robbery suspects were taken into custody after they led HPD officers on a chase in west Houston on Wednesday.
HPD units first responded to reports of an aggravated robbery inside a Walgreens located on Studemont Street.
Police told that two adult male suspects went into the business just before midnight with guns. One of the suspects pointed a gun at one of the employees’ head and took around $3700.
During the robbery, one of the suspects fired a round into the ground while the third suspect was waiting outside in a black sedan.
Officers with the help of DPS helicopter and unmarked police units were able to locate and track the suspects.
The suspects continued on and a short pursuit ensued. The suspects pulled into 11395 Richmond and made a u-turn.
On their way out of the driveway, the suspects also side swiped an HPD vehicle and then crashed into a fence. Officers were able to take all three suspects into custody.
