Two-alarm apartment fire damages 20 units in SW Houston

HOUSTON – A two-alarm fire damaged about 20 units at an apartment complex in southeast Houston Thursday night.

When HFD units arrived in the 7900 block of Leonora Street, they found multiple units engulfed in flames.

The fire was upgraded to a two-alarm fire while all residents were able to exit safely.

One resident was transported by ambulance for smoke inhalation. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
