Suspect ejected from car during crash on Beechnut Street

HOUSTON – A suspect was transported to the hospital after being ejected from a car during crash on Beechnut Street.

As per initial information, HPD officers observed a vehicle run a stop sign. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on that vehicle but the driver failed to yield and a pursuit ensued.

After some time , officers terminated the pursuit due to the high speeds.

At one point, the suspect ran another red light and continued at a high rate of speed even after officers stopped the pursuit.

The suspect crashed into a light pole at Beechnut Street and was ejected out of the car.

He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
