Big rig driver killed in crash on North Sam Houston Parkway

HOUSTON – A female driver was killed after a big rig jack knifed on the eastbound side of the N Sam Houston Parkway Tuesday morning.

Authorities have confirmed that the deceased was a female driver of the Amazon big rig.

She was ejected during the crash and the vehicle came to rest on the outbound side of the tollway.

According to investigators, it was raining during the time of the wreck. Deputies are working to determine if weather played a role in the crash.
