Wrong-way driver killed after crashing into USPS 18-wheeler on Beltway 8

HOUSTON – A wrong-way driver was killed after he crashed into an 18-wheeler carrying USPS mail on Beltway 8 near Highway 290 Monday morning.

Police responded to the scene after they received a call around 2:30 A.M.

According to investigators, the driver crashed into an 18-wheeler while he was going the wrong way on Beltway at 290. He was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was also transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries
