HOUSTON – A 77-year-old pedestrian is recovering in the hospital after he was struck by a Harris County Precinct 4 deputy Tuesday night.
The deputy was traveling westbound on Clay Road within the given speed limit when he saw a man walking in the moving lane of traffic.
The deputy swerved to his right and the man also moved to the right at the same time.
EMS transported the pedestrian to Memorial Hermann Hospital with a laceration to back of his head. He is expected to survive.
