Two vehicles crash into trees in separate incidents, 2 dead

HOUSTON – Two drivers have died after crashing their vehicles in two trees in separate incidents.

The first incident was reported in the 20000 block of Clay Road around 6:17 p.m. on Sunday where a driver crashed his pickup truck into a tree.

Deputies believed the driver failed to stay in his lane and crashed into a tree, however, they were unsure if he was intoxicated or speeding that resulted in the accident.

The second incident was reported in the 4200 block of Barker Cypress Road around 12:42 a.m. where a driver died after crashing his Dodge pickup into a tree.

According to authorities, the cab was detached from the rest of the truck and various parts were located throughout the street.

The deceased driver was a Hispanic male believed to be in his 30s to 40s.

Deputies said speed could be the primary factor in the crash.
