51-year-old man killed in auto-pedestrian crash

HARRIS COUNTY – A 51-year-old man was killed after a vehicle struck him in north Harris County early Wednesday. 

According to deputies, a 28-year-old male was driving westbound on FM 1960 when he struck a pedestrian standing or crossing on the inside lane.

The driver made a u-turn and stayed at the scene.

Authorities said the driver has admitted on having a drink hours before the crash and he also showed minimal signs of intoxication.

But the investigators said that the deceased male was in an area with no crosswalks. At this time, the driver is not facing any charges and has been cooperating with investigators.
