Suspect caught after police pursuit near Scott Street

HOUSTON – A suspect has been detained after he attempted to flee from officers during a traffic stop early Friday.

Officers said the vehicle was stopped for fake paper tags and the suspect provided a fake identity.

Officers performed a pit maneuver on 45 and took the suspect into custody without further incident.

A firearm was also recovered in the car.
