Mother charged with felony murder after 4-year-old girl killed in crash

HOUSTON – A woman has been charged with felony murder after her four-year-old daughter died in a crash on Beltway 8.

According to Harris County Deputies, the woman identified as Rosalia Sanchez is the child’s mother. 

Deputies told she was driving with five kids in the car when the vehicle crashed near Woodforest exit. 

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the child who died was not in a car seat and the female driver also showed signs of possible intoxication. 

Later, Rosalia Sanchez was charged with felony murder and her bond was set to $75,000.

Bond conditions set for Sanchez include no driving without court permission, get a breath kit for the car, no alcohol or drugs, can’t leave Harris County or surrounding counties, can’t be with minors unsupervised and she must complete the family plan of service with CPS.
