Man shot after dispute with roommate on Dunlap Street

HOUSTON – A 19-year-old man is in the hospital after he was shot by a roommate during an altercation early Wednesday. 

According to HPD, the complainant and suspect live together in the same apartment located in the 6600 block of Dunlap Street. Both were having a party in their unit.

Later, the suspect wanted everyone to leave and go to bed.

The victim was aggravated with the roommate, got into an altercation and began assaulting the suspect.

The suspect then grabbed a gun in self-defense and shot the victim before fleeing the apartment.

Investigation is underway.
