Ethiopian-American community stage protest in Galleria

HOUSTON – A local Ethiopian-American community held protest at the intersection of Post Oak and Westheimer. in the Galleria neighborhood on Sunday, urging the U.S. government to stay out of their county.

The protestors fear the U.S. will interfere in the year-long battle between the Ethiopian government and the rebel group Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).

The protest agenda stated that demonstrators are standing up and saying ‘no more’ to the Biden Administration’s destructive foreign policy measures worldwide, most urgently in Ethiopia and Eritrea.

The protest was held after the State Department called for the TPLF to stop its advances and urged the group not to use artillery against cities.
