Teen killed in rollover crash on Ashcroft Drive

HOUSTON – HPD VCD is investigating after a 17-year-old boy died in a rollover crash at the intersection of Ashcroft and Dashwood Drive early Monday.

As police officers arrived at the location, they found a car flipped on its roof on the roadway.

A 17-year-old male was located near the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to details, the teenager driver was traveling westbound on Dashwood at a high rate of speed when the vehicle went into a ditch, and rolled several times.

It appears that the vehicle struck a fire hydrant and street sign before coming to rest.

Investigation is underway.
