Man accidentally shot by friend while celebrating Astros win

HOUSTON – A celebration for the Astros ended with one friend in the hospital in northwest Houston on Tuesday. 

According to police, a group of people were watching the Astros game inside a house in the 5900 block of Flintlock Road. Whenever the Astros ALDS scored a run, the individuals would dry fire their guns.

On the last time when the Astros scored a run, one of the individuals forgot to unload his weapon, firing it and striking his friend in the abdomen.

The injured person was moved to the hospital in stable condition. 

Police will consult with the D.A. office about charges against the suspect.
