1 brother shot dead, 1 injured during robbery in northwest Houston

HOUSTON – A man has been shot and killed and another person sustained injury during an armed robbery in northwest Houston early Friday. 

The shooting happened before 1 a.m. in the 8600 block of Pitner Road.

According to police, an armed suspect tried to rob the men, who are believed to be brothers, outside an apartment complex. Shots were fired when the victims told robber that they didn’t have any money.

Both were struck in the chest. 

One person died at the scene and the other was moved to the hospital and is expected to survive.
