Woman killed in hit-and-run on 610 West Loop

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the 610 West Loop early Friday. 

The incident was reported in the 9400 block of South Post Oak around 3:09 a.m.

According to police, the female victim was inspecting her disabled vehicle on the right shoulder when another vehicle struck her.

The driver did not stop to render aid, police added. 

She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police said a passenger was also present in the victim’s car who did not see the striking vehicle.
