Suspect detained after deadly shooting in Third Ward

HOUSTON – Police have detained a suspect after a man was shot and killed in the Third Ward Tuesday night.

The shooting was reported around 7:20 p.m. in the 2800 block of Blodgett Street.

Lt. Larry Crowson said the victim had some sort of dispute with the suspect. Shots were fired by the suspect when both got into an argument in front of an apartment building.

The alleged shooter has been detained at the scene, the officer confirmed. 

Investigation is underway.
