Suspect barricades himself after 1 killed inside Channelview game room

HOUSTON – A suspect has been detained after one person got killed and another got injured inside a game room in Channelview early Monday. 

Officers responded to a robbery in progress call just before 2 a.m. in the 16200 block of Avenue. Arriving units found a deceased male at the entrance. One pistol-whipped individual was moved to the hospital by ambulance.

As deputies made entry into the game room, the suspect opened fire at them.

The male suspect was taken into custody with the help of SWAT team.

Officers believe at least two others suspects may still be at large.
