HOUSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT DEPLOYS TO LA

Houston’s Fire Department Rescue Captain, Beau Moreno, gives tips and protocols on how to stay safe this Labor Day weekend.

Speaking of protocols, HFD firefighters deploy to Louisiana to help aid the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. Twelve of Houston’s firefighters are providing assistance in Engine 14 as part of the Texas Task Force One.

Eight firefighters deployed a few days ago and the last four deployed Tuesday, August 31. The city of Houston has made it a priority to offer assistance for Louisiana evacuees with shelter and donations.

Houston and Louisiana are known to be heavily affected by natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Harvey. Houston is here to help.
