HOUSTON – A woman was sent to the hospital after a major crash between a sedan and a big rig early Thursday.

The crash was reported at about 12:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 290.

It has been reported a Lexus may have been traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the rear of a semi-truck.

A female, possibly 30-year-old, was ejected out of the vehicle. She was transported via Life Flight with CPR in progress.

The semi-truck exited the freeway and waited for the law enforcement.

The incident is being investigated by Jersey Village PD.
