Two suspects arrested after standoff with police on Westheimer

HOUSTON – Police have arrested two suspects after a brief standoff on Westheimer Road, authorities told on Tuesday.

HPD said the officers responded to a burglary from motor vehicle in the 6100 block of Westheimer at around 02:00 a.m.

As officers arrived at the location, they spotted possible suspects in a GMC pickup.

After a short pursuit, the suspects stopped in the Lambo parking lot and refused to exit the vehicle.

Meanwhile, assistance was sought from Fox and K9 units.

The suspects eventually surrendered and were taken into custody without any incident.

Authorities said the driver will be charged with evading in a motor vehicle and may face additional charges upon conclusion of the investigation.
