Son shoots father during argument at Chetwood Drive

HOUSTON – A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot by his 17-year-old son at 6666 Chetwood Drive. 

Authorities said the incident was reported around 7:57pm on Thursday. 

According to Lt L. Crowson, the suspect pulled out a pistol and shot the father in the leg during an argument. The victim was moved to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive.

After the shooting, the suspect went to a probation office around the corner to turn himself in to officers.
