Pursuit of stolen car ends in arrest of two suspects

HOUSTON – Houston police have detained two suspects after a short pursuit near the intersection of Arlington and Tidwell. 

According to onscene.tv, HPD North Shepherd officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the area of Airline and Parker.

Police chased the vehicle as the driver refused to stop. After 15 minutes of pursuit, officers were able to stop the vehicle with help of a spike strip.

The suspect abandoned the vehicle on the road and tried to escape on foot near the intersection of Arlington & Tidwell.

The driver, a male Hispanic, and a female passenger were quickly taken into custody.
