HCSO deputy struck by wrong-way driver

HARRIS COUNTY – A Harris County deputy was sent to the hospital after he was struck head-on in northeast Harris County Thursday night.

The crash was reported in the 5000 block of Aldine Mail Route Road around 11:50pm. 

As per details, the deputy was traveling east when a silver Toyota went into the opposing lanes and struck him head-on. 

The deputy and the Hispanic male driver were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to onscene.tv, the deputy is assigned to the DWI unit and has been on the job for 10 years

Authorities will conduct a DWI investigation on the driver to determine if the driver was impaired or not.
