Hazmat called for suspicious envelope at DHL

HOUSTON – The HFD hazmat team has determined that a suspicious envelope reported at a DHL facility last night did not contain hazardous material.

The hazmat team responded to a request at DHL facility in the 3300 block of Claymoore Park Drive around 11:30 p.m. Monday. 

When crews arrived at the scene, they located an envelope with an unknown substance.

The substance was test on the spot, however, it was determined that it was not a threat.

Later, the envelope was placed into a container and taken away by the Houston Police Department. 

No further details are available at the moment.
