QB Ryan Tennehill says NFL taking tough stand on vaccinations

Quarterback Ryan Tannnehill told reporters on Thursday (July 29) that strict NFL protocols had forced his decision to finally get the Covid-19 vaccine.

“Like I said I wouldn’t have gotten the vaccine if it weren’t for the intensive protocols and not being able to gather with teammates and separate lockerroom, separate meeting

room, separate cafeteria. All those types of things where you’re losing the team chemistry, the team bond which I think is so important so I think that really had a lot to do

with guys ultimately getting vaccinated,” Tannehill said.

The team had previously said that 90% of their players had either been fully or partially vaccinated. Earlier in the month, the NFL announced that in the upcoming season teams

that cannot play scheduled games due to COVID outbreaks will forfeit those games instead of having them resheduled
