One man severely injured, several displaced after two separate fire incidents

HOUSTON – A man has been seriously injured and several people have been displaced after fire at two different locations.

The fire was reported at the Inwood Garden Apartments at 6110 Fairdale. 

According to witnesses, a man was badly burned, and a firefighter also suffered minor injuries.

About a dozen units were impacted and several families were forced out of their homes. 

The fire was doused in about 30 minutes.

Another incident was reported at 11675 West Bellfort where heavy fire engulfed a three-story apartment.

Looking at the intensity of the blaze, the Houston Fire Department had to go defensive and were able bring it under control within 20 minutes.

At least 12 units are damaged by fire, smoke and water, whereas, 30 to 40 residents have been displaced at the moment.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
