Woman shot, injured at Houston-area crawfish boil

HOUSTON – A woman was shot and injured during an altercation with a man Sunday night at a Houston-area crawfish boil, officials said.

Lt. Paul Bruce of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said people gathered for the boil in the 2500 block of East Wallisville in Highlands when an argument broke out and the suspect allegedly shot the woman. The victim suffered gunshot wound to the abdomen. 

She was transported to Memorial Herman via helicopter. 

Reportedly, the suspect ran away from the scene soon after the shooting. Officers are reviewing CCTV footages to know what exactly happened.
