Man in critical condition after motorcycle crash on Southwest Freeway

SUGAR LAND – A motorcyclist was shifted to the hospital in critical condition after a major crash in Sugar Land overnight.

The accident occurred before 2 a.m. Thursday on the Southwest Freeway’s southbound lanes. 

It has been reported that the motorcyclist crashed and fell off the bike before being struck by another vehicle.

It is unclear if the vehicle that struck the man remained on scene or not.

The rider was airlifted to the hospital and the freeway remained closed for several hours for further investigation by the Fort Bend Police Department.
