Body found in motel may be missing 6-year-old Samuel Olson: police

HOUSTON – Body found in a motel room in Jasper is believed to be missing six-year-old Samuel Olson, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said. 

The little boy’s body was found at Best Western Inn, located in the 200 block of West Gibson Street.

“It is with great sadness that I share with you that a body – of who we believe to be 6-year-old Samuel Olson – was recovered in a motel room in Jasper, Texas, earlier this evening,” Troy Finner wrote in a tweet. 

The police chief also confirmed that a possible suspect has been taken into custody and will be interviewed by the homicide investigators.  He requested entire Houston community to join HPD in sending prayers for Samuel and his family.

Samuel Olson was reported missing on May 27.
