Boat rescued from hanging over edge of Texas dam

Four people trapped in a boat were rescued from falling from the edge of Longhorn Dam in Austin, Texas on Thursday (June 10), dramatic video showed.

According to the official press release, the small boat was found “high centred” on the spillway and did not have enough power to get out of the situation.

A rescue helicopter, as well as an Austin Police Department lake patrol boat, were requested to the scene as the responding agencies began to formulate a rescue plan.

Finally, the lake patrol boat from the Austin Police was able to make its way to the scene first and was able to pull the stranded boat.

No fatalities or injuries were reported.
