Man shot, injured during robbery in Northeast Houston

HOUSTON – A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot and injured during a robbery in northeast Houston. 

The shooting was reported in the 6700 block of Bennington Street. 

Arriving units located a male with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a nearby trauma center where he is expected to survive.

During their investigation, officers learned that the victim was selling shirts in a parking lot when he was approached by an armed robber.

The suspect shot the victim and fled from the scene.
