Elon Musk calls for more dialogue between Russia and U.S.

Tesla Inc Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk on Friday (May 21) called for dialogue between Washington and Moscow at a time when their ties are languishing at post-Cold War lows.

“There is a lot of talent and energy in Russia and I think there should be more dialogue and communication between Russia and the United States,” Musk said via video link at a forum on Russian education in Moscow.

Musk, who was invited to participate by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also said that Tesla was close to establishing a presence in Russia and was looking at whether it could open factories there.

Musk said the company already had production sites in China and the United States, but was looking at opening production facilities in other parts of the world.
