HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery.
On Saturday, February 13, 2021 at around 11:13 am, the complainant met a female named Emily on Snapchat and agreed to meet her in person at a fast food restaurant, located at the 6500 block of the Southwest Freeway, in Houston, Texas. The complainant drove to the restaurant and met with Emily, who also had an unknown male and female with her. After speaking with Emily for a short while, she asked the complainant for a ride, at which time he agreed and they all got into his vehicle. As they were driving, the unknown male and female began to whisper in the backseat, which made the complainant feel uncomfortable. The complainant stated that he was going to drop them off, so he pulled over.
The male and female in the backseat began to assault the complainant by striking him with a closed fist. The complainant then pulled out a knife, which was taken away by the male suspect, who then attempted to stab him several times. The complainant then jumped out of his vehicle and the three suspects drove off, running over the complainant’s legs as he fell to the ground.
Robbery Detectives were able to determine the identification of Emily and the male suspect, who turned out to be juveniles. Both Emily and the male suspect were subsequently charged with aggravated robbery. Detectives have not yet determined the identity of the third suspect, who was captured on surveillance cameras inside the restaurant.
The complainant’s vehicle, a red 2015 Ford Focus, is still reported stolen and has not yet been recovered.
