Mayor Turner, 50/50 Park Partners, and the Valero Foundation will Celebrate New Improvements to Hartman Park

HOUSTON – Mayor Sylvester Turner will join 50/50 Park Partners and the Valero Energy Foundation for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Hartman Park.

Hartman Park is the first neighborhood park to receive improvements and long-term support as part of Mayor Sylvester Turner’s 50/50 Park Partners initiative to create equity in complete communities and City of Houston neighborhood parks.

The event will celebrate the end of construction on a new playground for the Magnolia Park – Manchester Complete Community in Houston’s East End.

The 50/50 Park Partners initiative was created by Mayor Turner and brings together the City of Houston, Houston Parks Board, Houston Parks and Recreation Department, and Greater Houston Partnership to improve 50 neighborhood parks.

The project is also supported by the Resiliency Office and the Office of Complete Communities.
