U.S. President Joe Biden, appearing alongside a mask-wearing Easter Bunny and the first lady, on Monday (April 5) struck a hopeful note as Americans spent their second Easter holiday under the coronavirus pandemic.
“Scripture tells us, ‘Joy cometh in the morning.’ As we celebrate the renewal of the season, we know that longed for dawn is almost here,” he said from the White House balcony.
Biden said the traditional Easter egg roll would resume in 2022 after a two-year cancellation “God willing.”
“We look forward to next year when the White House will ring with joy of the season once again,” he said.
