Man wanted for slaying mother-in-law on Loyola Dr.

CYPRESS – Harris County Sheriffs Officers are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted for the suspected fatal shooting of his mother-in-law.

The shooting was reported last Thursday (March 11) in the 11300 block of Loyola Dr around 9 p.m.

Deputies say there was an altercation at the home between Gaytan and his wife. The wife contacted her mother who came to the home to rescue his wife and their two young kids who were present in the home at the time.

Gaytan’s mother-in-law arrived at the home and knocked on the door demanding he releases her daughter and grandchildren. Moments later Gaytan came outside and shot her several times within the driveway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gaytan’s wife and two kids were able to escape through a back door.

HCSO tweeted out a description of Gaytan stating he is a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8″, 200 pounds. He was wearing a Dallas Cowboys shirt and shorts when he fled from the scene on foot.

He is facing a capital murder charge.
