Man hospitalized following a shooting on Bellerive Dr.

HOUSTON – Police are still looking for a suspect who may be responsible for a shooting that left one man hospitalized overnight.

The shooting was reported in the 7500 block of Bellerive Drive around 7:30 p.m. 

Arriving HPD units located an adult male with a gunshot wound to the arm. He was transported by ambulance and is expected to survive.

According to police, there was an altercation between the victim and a suspect who was on foot. At some point, shots were fired and the suspect fled the scene.

The shooting is under further investigation to determine if it was an attempted car jacking or targeted event.
