Houston art museum burglars escape on a boat

HOUSTON– A search is pending for burglary suspects who police say broke into the Houston Museum of Fine Arts Branch at River Oaks overnight.

Arriving units spotted a male and female suspect leaving the building as they fled down Buffalo Bayou. Authorities say the suspects escaped through the sewer system that lays underneath Tillman Fertitta’s residence.

HPD officers and K9 searched approximately 3 miles of sewage area in lieu of the suspects but no luck.

Both suspects are still at large.
