HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults division is investigating a shootout that left four people wounded in a northwest side neighborhood early morning.
According to police, there were reports of gunfire after 12 a.m. at a home on Stallings Drive just west of West Montgomery.
The incident started when a dark sedan opened fire on the home.
Residents returned fire, and the car sped away.
Police located a man with a gunshot wound to his leg at the home and also found two other gunshot victims in a car that was in a ditch just east of the home.
Another shooting dropped a short time later, with a male gunshot victim located with a gunshot wound to the neck off Ellington.
Police said all injured persons are expected to survive.
